One Friday afternoon, Alexis and i planned to meet up to buy refreshments and study. I didn't expect a special guest to turn up - in a skirt. The special guest is none other than Hui Yan!!!
I couldn't resist taking a photo of her in a skirt even though she protested. :)
As you can see, Exhibit A..LOL. If you believe that Hui Yan looks good in a skirt, TAG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So, we went to Hui Yan's house. While waiting for her to finish bathing, Alexis gave me some of her tuna rice which was spicy but really good. We bought the refreshments and WE REALLY COMPARED THE PRICES 'coz we wanted to stay with the budget. We looked at all the noodle brands and considered the following factors:
1. PRICE (budget, stock market, economy, inflation, etc. - we felt like aunties LOL)
2. Taste (which one has more MSG? the more MSG, the better)
3. Packaging (where was it manufactured, etc. - you guys know what i mean)
4. No. of people present (how many people are there?)
5. Stomach space (How hungry are they? How many plates will they eat?)
After spending half an hour or so, we finally made our purchases. We went to Mac afterward and we tried to study..for 20 minutes. Then, we bought some food. Of course, i had to take some pics and of course, they don't want me to take any. LOL.
It was a bit disappointing 'cozwhen i ordered a chocolate sundae, they suddenly run out of chocolate?! They gave me strawberry instead which doesn't taste that good with the fries (sorry Jon, but it's true. lol). Yes, you can dip the fries in choco sundae. It tastes great but i think it has more calories.
We talked and ate and talked and ate. After which, we went to the place where we usually played captain's ball and where we celebrated birthdays. The three of us sat down on the warm concrete. Alexis took out her handphone, played some worship songs and we tried to sing. It was great to be with these two beautiful people, under the open air, staring at the sky..worshipping. We sang (ok we didn't really sing so much 'coz the place was surrounded with flats). We listened. We talked about life.
Time went by so fast that i couldn't believe it. It was just the three of us and we were just talking, singing and listening to the music but time passed by like seconds.
It was getting late so we decided to go home. We accompanied Hui Yan to the lift. Alexis went with me to the MRT. That night, i believe we grew closer..not only 'coz we spent the afternoon with each other but because we fellowshipped and worshipped God together. It's amazing how worshipping God together can bring people together. Even though it was hard for both of them to talk to me 'coz they couldn't speak to me in Chinese (lol), when we worshipped, we sang as one.
Well yeah, didn't intend for this post to be that serious. Lol. I just wanted to share that night with you guys. Let's chase after God together. :)
